Sponged SCM/SiC at Cone 6 1/2

This is SCMO + 1% Silicon Carbide sponged on with Jen's Juicy Fruit and Water Color Green sponged over. There's a little Hanna's Fake Ash brushed on (basically dry-brushed) and the liner (plus a ring around the lip) is MC6G Raw Sienna. The clay is a very dark brown Cone 5-7 stoneware.

After the glaze had dried, I evened it out by "sanding" the glaze with a dry paper towel. The intent was to get rid of the really strong splotches I had with previous sponge tests. Although the picture isn't great, the glaze looks really good to me in person. It reminds me of stone that was worked a really long time ago.

Firing notes: I increased my Cone 6 firing by 20 degrees (2160) and did a 500 degree cool to 1900 followed by a 125 degree cool all the way down to 1400 (basically the MC6G cool-down).
