Results of my sponge experiment

Definitely better than I'd expected. These were fired ^10R.

The one on the right ran too much and stuck to the "cookie". When I pried it off, I cracked the foot so that one's toast. The other one didn't stick at all and even with the tiny foot it's very stable so it's getting added to my collection (unless my daughter decides it's part of her collection). No blisters or craters (or any other glaze defects).

The glazes are much more creamy looking than what I usually get with SCM but the Water Color glaze colors don't look great. Interesting, but not necessarily attractive. In any case, I think I'm going to add this to my list of things to explore further. Notes to myself:
maybe try ^6 electric with some ^5/6 glazes over the SCM
thin the glazes with water and don't let the pot dry out after glazing the interior?
