More Nuka

These are all cone 10 reduction.

Although I'm not crazy about this cup, it is interesting to me. The cup is porcelain (Babu). The inside is Coleman Tea Dust and the crystals went crazy. Where the Nuka overlaps the tea dust on the rim and just inside definitely shows promise. You can also see how stark white Nuka is when not on top of something else. Even where the Nuka overlaps the Ohata (Kaki) the Nuka is barely discolored.

This is a pot that I really like. Coleman Tea Dust inside. Nuka over Tenmoku outside.

And finally, another couple bowls. Also Nuka over Tenmoku. The first one has Yellow Salt on the outside that was also on the top of the rim. You can see yellow spots where that moved down into the Nuka.

Here's some Nuka over Tenmoku with Ohata on the outside. This is a gray/tan stoneware with the inside of the bowl covered in porcelain slip.

Some High Fire Bowls

Here's a few bowls from the last kiln load. The shino bowls have really old (Mixed 12/26/10) Malcolm Davis that I put on really thick on the outside and Penn State on the inside. The others are Tenmoku with Nuka over on the outside.

More Nuka over Tenmoku

This time I dipped the Tenmoku, sponged some Nuka over, then finished the Nuka with a brush. These are Cone 10 reduction and all are Los Altos Blend clay except "Cups 2", which are Mile Hi Firethorn.
